This app took me back to my childhood. The story was originally the subject of one of five animated TV specials that first aired on NBC and later, HBO. I had a copy of the original book when I was a little girl. Years later, that book was reprinted and Mike Berenstain added his special touch of faith by mentioning a nativity set, a church service and a nativity play and the true meaning of Christmas. Mike even replaced the original ending with the Golden Rule! Great app.
My little boy loves these booka he can read them by himsekf or I can read them with him at night before he goes to bed. I recommend these books for all young children.
Just a heads up. Still good BB fun and very engaging for young children.
I have everything Berenstain Bear including this original book and movie. When I saw the app I just had to add it to my collection and it didn't disappoint. It is such a wonderful Christmas story that the family can enjoy. Just an F.Y.I. ... It is one of the first books so it has the 'classic' Berenstain Bear illustrated look vs. today's more recognized bear family appearance.
My kid loves BB books and shows. However he gets about 10 pages into this book and looses interest. The artwork also looks different than most other books and the facial expressions do not seem to reflect the tone of the text.
